Slow and steady wins the race. Don’t try to rush set up. I have to say first and foremost, the first few minutes of trying to pair this, I was so aggravated with this thing. Nothing was working. So I stopped, took a breath, and started ALL OVER. And then it worked. 🙂 This is a pretty quick set up, I mean it doesn’t take hours, but it does take some time. I think it took me about 15 mins total, after I started over. 🙂

Give it a try. Speeds don’t suffer like the old extenders. So far I’m very pleased with this. Ac is definitely worth upgrading to. I had a netgear 2500 working as my extender and it was only giving me around 8mbps down consistently. Other times I could get around 15 Mbps down but not consistently. Im getting 75 Mbps from the cable company. YA! So far this repeater had extended my network and is giving me consistent speeds from 50-65. I’m at very satisfied with my purchase.

Boosted signal strength at the cost of speed. I purchased this hoping to improve my wireless connection upstairs where my desktop is located. My AT&T modem/router is located on the first floor and we are supposed to get either 25 or 30 Mbps down, I forgot the exact number. Upstairs, my desktop would usually hover around 2-3 bars and both my cellphone and kindle tablet would hover around 4 bars, none were ever full signal if upstairs.
