Very good simple, slim, super-portable hard disk I picked this hard drive after a lot of searching, scanning through reviews and comparing models. I was torn between picking a 500 GB or a 1 TB hard drive. I was looking at some WD drives and this one. I needed a drive for just routine backups. I have over 100 GB in Dropbox, but using it exclusively for all my backup is not very convenient. It takes very long to upload and not absolutely everything can fit in it. The point is that I didn’t need a hard drive to lug around a large media library…

HARDWARE FAILURE – PURCHASE THE DATA PROTECTION COVERAGE!!! Bought this for storage of important files (photos and design projects). While it’s a huge storage and a great price, I had a “HARDWARE FAILURE” within the first month and a half. Just long enough to do a ton of important work. Now I’m paying hundreds of dollars to try and recover the data.

$60 beats $4000 and a nervous breakdown I bought this Seagate backup because I have a Macbook Pro and once I downloaded El Capitan my old hard drive backup – a Lacie – no longer worked. I’m not sure why. I tried to get it to backup, but couldn’t. So, I bit the bullet and bought this Seagate.
