FlamingoNut says:

Nice label maker, but one major complaint still not rectified (excessive tape waste) I have my share of Brother label makers, a PT-80 which is relatively old, and a PT-1010. Both have more complaints about wasted tape on the front end of the label, but Brother fails to address and rectify this problem. Considering how expensive the tape is, users would appreciate this problem taken care of! But it never is.

Richard Milward says:

Minimizing label waste I’ve used different model P-Touch printers and they all seem to waste a lot of tape. However, you can minimize that by printing several different labels at the same time, with a few spaces in between. So don’t print “Sage”, and then “Thyme”, and then “Rosemary”, but print “Sage Thyme Rosemary”, and use scissors to cut them apart. You can also print up to 9 copies of a label.
