Almost burned up. This outlet needs more heat resistant plastic. I had no idea the plastic was melting and burning until I removed the plug. This is OK for plugging in a charger for your phone. It cannot handle an appliance that uses a lot of electricity and the plug heats up. Thank goodness we never left the appliance on while we were way from the house.

High Joules, Indicator Light, Sold! Realized I had been mainly using Power Taps and not actual Surge Protectors around the house.I wanted one that had an indicator light on it, to denote when the ‘protection’ isn’t working, or should it fail some day, I will know to replace it. A lot of the cheaper surge protectors have no indicator lights.

Who designed this? Poor thought process – lack of space between outlets reduces utility of product ! I don’t know why they never leave enough space between the outlets. News flash, look at what electronics you have and you’ll see you need space between the outlets. So what ends up happening is of course inserting something in ones blocks another one defeating using the entire outlets it has. Please, someone design something with plenty of space between the outlets.
